About This Dog for Adoption

Bear's ideal home

Beautiful Bear is on the search for her forever home with adopters who can dedicate the time into socialising with dogs whilst she is on lead. Although Bear is great with dogs and has lots of history interacting with them, she can become frustrated when on lead and seeing them at a distance. She loves being active and would love adopters who can continue stimulating her both physically and mentally. Bear could live with another dog as long as they can cope with an initial reactive interaction before going off lead. Bear would be best suited to a family who have low leaving hours as she can be worried when being left. Once settled in the home, her leaving hours can be slowly built up. She can live with secondary school aged children in the home. Bear will need a private and secure garden that she can enjoy with her family. Bear is currently on our Homestay programme- this means that she is not currently in our centre and is instead with her current family up until the point of adoption.

Could you be Bear's perfect match?

Bouncy Bear is a gorgeous girl who you can’t help but fall in love with. She is super affectionate and loves a good cuddle from her favourite people. Bear has a very gentle nature and adores having fun with her doggy friends in secure off lead areas. She is super intelligent and loves to learn new tricks if tasty snacks are to hand. She already knows her name, sit, down, paw, stay, bed and more! Kimmy like playing with toys, her favourite are rope toys that she can play a good game of tuggy with. She will make a wonderful addition to her forever home.

Mastiff Puppy Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Mastiff.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Mastiff Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
