About This Dog

Mason's ideal home

Meet Mason, our beautiful 2 year old Mastiff cross. He's arrived with us as a stray meaning we don't know too much about his past prior to coming into our care. He's a lovely lad, but has found kennel life a little scary. He can sometimes struggle when it coming to making the right decisions, meaning he often gets himself in a bit of pickle. He's slowly learning how be calmer and more relaxed and is learning how keep all four paws on the floor! As a big lad, Mason can be boisterous and will jump up and show mouthing behaviours when he's overwhelmed. He will need patient adopters who can continue his positive education and help him learn how to stay calm and relax in new places. We think he'll be best suited to an adult only home where he can learn lots of new things and settle in to home life. He may need some support in areas such as housetraining and we recommend any time being left is gradually built up. We're currently still assessing Mason's interactions with other dogs so whilst he needs to be the only pet for now, this may change as we learn more about him.

Could you be Mason's perfect match?

Mason is a wonderful boy and he loves his food. He enjoys playing with food enrichment such as dig boxes, kongs and snuffle matts which will come in handy for teaching him calm behaviours. We're sure his love of food will also help with his ongoing training too! Mason has so much love to give and is hoping to find someone who can help guide him through life.
