About This Dog

Luca's ideal home

Luca is looking for a quiet and calm home with minimal visitors, with active adopters who can take him on lots of exploring, sniffy adventures in quieter walking areas and secure fields, and will give him all the love and attention he deserves. He can live with children aged 16 and over who are comfortable with a big, strong dog, who will play nicely with him and give him space to rest and relax when needed. Luca is very worried by other animals, he is looking to be the only pet in the home so he can relax and enjoy all of his adopter’s attention to himself in a quiet area. He has quite a lot of training under his belt, he does a lovely “sit”, “paw”, “down” and is currently doing muzzle training as he will be going home on a lead and muzzle disclaimer. Luca will need a refresher on his house training in his new home so a private, secure garden with high fencing is needed. Luca can be a little worried being left, he would be able to be left for up to 1-2 hours, this would need to be built up slowly once he has had time to settle into his new home. Luca will need to meet his adopters multiple times prior to going home with potential home visits to make sure he is settling in well so please bear this in mind when applying. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes up to 7 days, and potential adopters would be required to come to the centre to meet him within 48hrs of being shortlisted.

Could you be Luca's perfect match?

Big goofy boy Luca is a 3 year old Mastiff cross who is still a bit of a puppy at heart. He loves toys and will chase and bounce around after them, squeaky toys are his favourite. He often comes to his favourite people for a little reassurance and a fuss, putting his head in your lap for head and neck scratches, rubbing his face on your leg, leaving slobbery marks behind as proof of his affection. He can be quite a foodie boy, and will take any treat offered, he takes them gently from the hand. This cuddly boy is on the hunt for the right home.
