Meet the truly heroic Hero! At just 1.5 years old, this German Shepherd x Mastiff is living up to his name by winning hearts wherever he goes. Hero could happily share his home with confident secondary school aged children who are comfortable around a big, bouncy boy. He also has the potential to live with another dog of a similar size, though he can be a bit too enthusiastic with smaller dogs and needs help learning that they’re friends, not toys. Hero has been left for a couple of hours previously but isn't keen on very long leaving hours - this is something that would need building up. He would like his own garden to enjoy to burn off some of his energy and any future family should be confident in walking a dog who can be very strong on lead.

Hero is a lovable, cuddly boy whose greatest joy in life is being showered with affection. He enjoys his walks, travels well in the car, and is an absolute delight to have around the home. Like many young dogs, Hero can occasionally get a little over-excited and may jump up, but he settles quickly and has been working hard on his “wait”. He loves playing with other dogs, but again his playstyle can be quite rough and boisterous so any home with another dog should consider if they think their dog would match his energy.
