About This Dog for Adoption
Ozzy's ideal home
Ozzy is looking for a home with loving and active adopters who can take him on sniffy adventures, who will give him all the love and attention he deserves. He can live with children aged 10 years and over who are comfortable with a large, playful dog and can give him space to rest when needed. Ozzy could live with an established dog who will happily co-exist with him, this will be pending successful meetings at the centre, living with another dog is not a necessity, he would love to have friendly walking buddies, he cannot live with cats or other small furries. Ozzy has some training under his belt, he does a lovely “sit” and “paw”, and is keen to learn more in short and sweet sessions for a tasty treat. He would benefit from loose lead walking training as he is a big strong boy and can pull on the lead when he wants explore further. He was housetrained previously, but may need a refresher in his new home so a private, secure garden is needed. Ozzy can settle nicely so would be able to be left for up to 2 hours, this would need to be built up slowly once he has had time to settle into his new home. Ozzy will need to meet his adopters a few times prior to going home so please bear this in mind when applying. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes up to 7 days, and potential adopters would be required to come up to the centre to meet his within 48hrs of being shortlisted.
Could you be Ozzy's perfect match?
The definition of a gentle giant, Ozzy is a 5 and a half year old Mastiff cross who loves nothing more than a good cuddle. He leans in for a fuss and when you stop he will nudge you for more, if you scratch the right spot he will rumble with contentment. He likes his treats and does a lovely “sit” whilst patiently waiting for you to hand one over, he takes them very gently from the hand. He will chase around after balls and rubber toys if thrown for him, but doesn’t pick them up or play with them. This gorgeous boy is looking for his new home.
