About This Dog for Adoption

Kay's ideal home

Kay is a big, beautiful girl who would really prefer a quiet home so that she can find her paws again. She is friendly out and about and has a really good history around children but can be a bit anxious. Therefore to set her up for success she’s looking for a home where the youngest people are teenagers. Kay can live with dogs given successful mixes in centre prior to adoption. Despite her size she is scared of cats so won’t want to live with them. Kay needs a garden of her own where she can fully relax and enjoy life.

Could you be Kay's perfect match?

Kay is 2 years old and came into our care through no fault of her own. She’s absolutely beautiful and has a really good home history but is finding kennels a little scary. Due to this she takes a little time to build a relationship but when she does her bouncy, playful, goofy nature is not one to be missed. Kay is very housetrained, can be left for a couple of hours if this is built up when she’s settled, and she’s fabulous in the car so trips out and about will be welcomed. We’d love to see Kay back in a home as soon as possible so if you think you could be a match for her then add her as a favourite today!

Mastiff Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Mastiff.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Mastiff Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
